'Dance first, think later. It’s the natural order’
Samuel Beckett
Samuel Beckett
Dance is an inhibition, thinking is pragmatic. Do these boundaries meet? Inhibitions morph from autonomous fragments of the brain. We all have them but to what extent do we utilise them? Thinking is a process of logic, some form of reason for that…
Do you dance with your eyes closed or with your eyes open? Cavities erupt from the subconscious when you close your eyes. Yet when you open them do you see it for what it is worth? You are standing on the tight rope and you slip. Do we fall with our eyes open or have we just forgotten to open them?
A consciousness grows out of rhythm, the foetus dances in the womb.
