In The Studio #201 with Samuel Alves de Jesus 

Samuel Alves de Jesus (São Paulo, 1999) lives and works in Taboão da Serra, Brazil. He works with sculpture, computer-generated image, 3D modeling, video, installation, drawing, and printmaking to open a conversation on the relationship between the synthetic and the natural and question colonial control within the impacts of the human relationship with nature. Recent projects include group shows at Fundação Bienal de São Paulo (São Paulo, Brazil), Bar Mamãe (São Paulo, Brazil), HOA Galeria (São Paulo, Brazil), Espaço Buero (São Paulo, Brazil), Shmorévaz (Paris, France), CCSP (São Paulo, Brazil), Urbeck's Festival (São Paulo, Brazil),  and Festival Estéreo Picnic (Bogotá, Colombia). In 2022, Alves de Jesus was appointed by the editorial of Tropix as one of the emergent artists from his scene to keep an eye on. Since 2022, The artist is part of the Ventre Residency Program at HOA.
