The title ‘Inspections From Above’ originates from a phrase of Rem Koolhaas’ ‘Delirious New York’ where he addresses a new point of
view over the city created by the elevation of its architecture. This bird’s-eye view implies a new awareness of the city in relation to the
body. In the aquarium-like showroom the absence of wall space became apparent and made us come to a decisive shift in addressing
the space for the first exhibition; from the wall to the floor, as to literally build a show from the ground up. This choice entails a mainly
sculptural outcome. In conversations with different artist their vision and position was articulated as participating in group shows as an
attempt of being invisibly visible. This stance in relation to a presence of transparency became somewhat the principle for this show, as
we met with artists and discussed possibilities and propositions, it became apparent that we were searching for these gestures.
