The yellow snow
I was in nursery school.
We were told to draw
a winter landscape with
markers.
I made the snow yellow,
the color that seemed to
come
closest to snow white.
My teacher yelled a lot,
insisting that snow
wasn’t yellow.
I could not disagree more.
