Freshly Broken Surfaces is a dialogue between counterparts, like two loops phasing in and out of sync.
Surfaces are folded, multiplied, squashed, layered, etched into text or extruded into object;
Objects pressed against clay sheets, their imprints then cast in copper.
Angled layers of glass between image and object, held together in tension.
Steel frames, supporting soft muslin, surface with an inside, objects inside that inside.
Black rocks in their natural state, ancient flint nodules, pierced and writhing paired with their synthetic rubber replicas.
Freshly Broken Surfaces is a conversation a clash and an embrace.
