Parrotta Contemporary Art, Stuttgart is
pleased to present the second solo exhibition of works by Oskar Schmidt.
In conjunction with the
exhibition a catalogue will be published with an essay by Joshua Chuang, Chief
Curator Center for Creative Photography, Tucson-Arizona
Oskar Schmidt
(*1977, Erlabrunn) lives and works in Berlin. Over the past years, he had solo
exhibitions at venues like Neues Museum Weimar; C/O Berlin; Goethe-Institut,
Washington, D.C. Works by Oskar Schmidt were part of numerous group exhibitions
such as The Center for Creative Photography Tucson-Arizona (2015); Aperture
Foundation New York (2015); Daimler Contemporary, Berlin (2015); Daimler Art
Collection Stuttgart (2015); Marburger Kunstverein (2013); Museum für bildende
Künste Leipzig (2011) and Zabludowicz Collection London (2010). He received the
Marion Ermer Award (2013) and the C/O Talents Award (2009). Next year Oskar
Schmidt will have further a solo exhibition at Staatliche Kunstsammlungen
Chemnitz/Museum Gunzenhauser.
