Sid Grossman

Sid Grossman (June 25, 1913 - December 31, 1955) was an American photographer and the co-founder with Sol Libsohn of the Photo League.[1] Grossman played numerous roles throughout the Photo League's existence (1936-1951). He organized classes in documentary photography. Grossman's 1940 photographs of labour union activity led to FBI investigations and the blacklisting of the league as a communist front in 1947.
